A Silent Voice, also known as Koe No Katachi (in Japanese), is a 2016 Japanese animated drama film directed by Naoko Yamada and written by Reiko Yoshida. The highly regarded anime studio, Kyoto Animation, has produced an extremely emotional and realistic film. The film is based on Yoshitoki Oima’s manga series of the same name, which he wrote
The Lake (or Park) (tentative name) is a recurring location in the 5-toubun no Hanayome series. This place is heavily based on real-life Nakanoike Park (中ノ池公園?) in Tokai, Aichi Prefecture. The lake is located presumably near the Uesugi Family's Residence due to being in a walking distance from it.
The Koe no Katachi movie wasn't really a romance movie, it seemed to focus on more of a self-acceptance plot line. However, there was obviously some romantic tension between Shouya and Shouko especially with Shouko trying to tell Shouya she loved him (and her message being misunderstood). Yes so true I thought of the dbz movie when saying what I said 😂 it’s true though it’s just not as exciting and like you said the anime captures the emotions way better especially shows and movies like a silent voice, Violet Evergarden, etc. Same with the fights it just looks bad in real life.Ironically enough, despite its title, the movie had a lot of great quotes from its amazing characters that will remain with viewers for years to come. 10 "You've Got A Heart Of Gold. Shoko's No Slouch Either. I've Got Some Mighty Fine Grandchildren. Have One Of The Manju, Too."
And the double meaning of the title is also missing - Koe (Voice) is pretty close to Koi (Love). Anyway this is very far from the first time the English title is different from the Japanese title. Sometimes it's chosen by the Japanese creators themselves, sometime the English title is chosen by localisers.
Tochi High is one of the most recurring locations in Koe no Katachi, being the high school of Shōya Ishida for a majority of the series. Many of the details surrounding Tochi are left vague, appearing to be a fairly decent high school with a standard curriculum. The anime film shows that Shoya belongs to Class 3-B for his senior year of high school, which includes Miki Kawai as the class The man is no other than Wilhelm Donko (@Surwill on Twitter), the good man responsible for writing his excellent Anime vs Real Life articles on Crunchyroll.
